Organizations utilizing Microsoft’s SharePoint 2003/2007 and Autonomy’s IDOL Server need access to Autonomy from within their corporate portal site. Currently, the only option is to use an unfamiliar and complex external application to query corporate data sources. The Autonomy Integrated Suite Search and Retrieval Web Part enables the IDOL search engine to be queried through either simple or advanced search interfaces and displays results in a part that can include a document summary, links to the actual document, document attributes and links to similar documents.

Agents Web Part allows users to create personalized agents which continually monitor information related to specific topics from multiple data sources and can be re-trained by the user.

Profiling Web Part displays interest profiles for each user that are automatically created by the IDOL server by tracking the content viewed by each user.

Channels Web Part displays shared taxonomies tailored to the information needs of an organization, department or business role. The Autonomy search engine can automatically provide users with an organized hierarchical display of channels in an interface that users can easily browse for content relevant to the channels.

Clustering Web Part displays the clusters that the IDOL server associates with large sets of data or profile information in graphical formats and dynamic lists that are driven by documents that have either been recently published or accessed.

Community Collaboration Web Part matches users with common explicit interest or implicit profile agents.
